Gurukul (“we”, “us”) is operated by Yugastra. This policy explains how the Gurukul mobile app collects, uses, and shares information.

Information we collect

• Account: name and email when you sign in with Google.
• App activity: learning progress, likes, comments, saved verses, referrals, and Ask Krishna conversations.
• Support: messages you send through Contact Us.
• Device: push notification token so we can send reminders you allow.
• Analytics: Firebase Analytics events and Microsoft Clarity session replay on the production Android app, used to understand how the app is used.

How we use information

We use this data to create your account, personalize learning, send notifications you opt into, provide Ask Krishna, process referrals and subscriptions, improve the product, and respond to support requests.

Who we share with

• Google (Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Analytics).
• Microsoft Clarity (session analytics on Android production builds).
• OpenAI (to generate Ask Krishna replies from the questions you send).
• Cloud hosting providers that store our backend and media.

We do not sell your personal information.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account in the app under Profile → Delete account. That removes your account and associated personal data from our systems. Some records may remain for a limited time in backups or where we must keep them for legal or payment reasons.

Children

Gurukul is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
